One can easily switch between them, assigning any input to any output. A single input can drive up to 16 outputs at once. Even cooler, you can program patch setups into the memory, in up to 99 locations. The first 2 channels are the MIDI merge channels - send any two channels to these inputs to merge them into one channel, than route it to anywhere.
