This is the 1A version of the popular FE17 Torres model. This has exactly the right choice of wood and of the highest quality. One of the smaller sized Torres models, based on his First Era FE 17 model. In the year 1864 Antonio de Torres built the SE 17 for his personal use. When Tarrega played this guitar in 1869, he managed to buy this from the master Torres. The sound inspired Tarrega for the coming 20 years. The original instrument has a cedro neck with a 650 mm scale length and maple back and sides. We use nicely flamed maple for sides and back. As all Jellinghaus guitars, this too has a French polished finish, bringing out the best of this instrument, both in tone as in looks.

Wolfgang Jellinghaus 1A17 model made in the Milestone Luthier Centre, that was founded in the year 2013 by Wolfgang Jellinghaus & Michael Zhang. The goal of the Milestone Luthier Centre is to rebuild the history of classic guitar making by selecting six different master builders from the past 230 years who set new standards for the guitar making in terms of construction & sound.

This 1A17 model is a replica built by the legendary Antonio de Torres. The instrument has a spruce top, stunning Flamed maple back and sides, full French polish finish, cedar neck with ebony fretboard, rosewood bridge with inlays, stunning bindings and rosette, short scale length of 630mm (24 13/16") and high quality tuners. Includes hardshell case.
