Behold: an EXTREMELY RARE PROTOTYPE resonator / Dobro guitar built by Samick, in cooperation with National Reso-Phonic guitars!!!
Samick wanted to build a top quality luxury resonator guitar based on the 1930s National Style 0 (14 fret), so they did the very best they could. Production costs were so high that the guitar would be too expensive to sell, so they only made a handful of prototypes. This is one of them; a unique instrument!!!
There's no serial number; it's a prototype. Beautiful hand-carved top, back and sides. It sounds great, has a little wear but that means it's been used a lot. Action is a comfortable for finger playing as well as slide guitar.
