Retirement sale everything must go. No trades, I need to clear them all out.
A genuinely lovely little acoustic built for finger picking designed in conjunction with American guitarist Eric Schoenberg,
Shoenburg is a champion of 30-40s fingerpicking style guitars and worked with RK to produce something more affordable than a 40s parlor Martin.
The result was the 626 series 12 fret guitars with warm tones, small and easy to play with a comfortable soft v neck.
It’s a really nice guitar from the 2010s that can sound amazing in the right hands. I have had quite a bit of interest but offering far too low prices, I have set my minimum bid at 450 I will not go below that and I would like to see at least 500.. I still have 6 months before I retire so I'm happy to wait for a good offer. If I get a few offers above 450 but below 500 I will consider a sale to the highest bid around end of July. These are quite rare in Europe and highly regarded guitars, they have sold, in much poorer repaired condtion but with cases for over 650, so I feel 500 is a fair price as its in excellent condition with no repairs or issues. I don’t have a case for this so would rather deliver or have picked up from Breda.
Product Description
Developed in collaboration with guitarist and historian Eric Schoenberg, the Recording King O and OO guitars (RP1-626-C and RP2-626-C) offer players the even frequency response, clarity and wider neck traditional to a classic parlor style, but the unique addition of a cutaway gives fingerstyle guitarists easier access to the upper frets.
RP1-626-C and RP2-626-C, the one-piece mahogany neck with a classic v-profile meets the body at the 12-fret with a hand cut dovetail joint, giving these guitars a true small body sound, warm and rich, but perfectly balanced. The solid AAA Engelmann spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides have been carefully selected and hand-assembled. With a 1-3/4" nut width, Grover tuners, ebony fretboard and ebony pyramid bridge, these O and OO guitars are as well-appointed and unique as they are beautiful. Each guitar is sprayed with a thin coat of nitrocellulose lacquer and then hand-buffed for a finish that is extremely resonant and historically accurate.
