Een bijzonder interessant kenmerk van deze Guild is de bolt-on halsconstructie. Waar veel andere Guild-gitaren een traditionele zwaluwstaartverbinding tussen hals en body hebben, is de hals van deze gitaar met bouten bevestigd. Dit is een praktische constructie die het ook aanzienlijk eenvoudiger maakt om de hals indien nodig af te stellen of te verwijderen.
De gelamineerde zij- en achterkant maken de gitaar bovendien wat minder gevoelig voor schommelingen in temperatuur en luchtvochtigheid. Het massief Sitka sparren bovenblad heeft inmiddels meer dan 10 jaar de tijd gehad om verder te rijpen, wat heeft bijgedragen aan de warme, volle en volwassen klank.

Geschiedenis / staat:

Ik heb deze gitaar in 2020 tweedehands gekocht bij Max Guitar in Utrecht. De vorige eigenaar had destijds een metalen strap pin onderaan de halsvoet (neck heel) gemonteerd, zeer dicht bij de body. Hierdoor was de halsvoet een paar millimeters van de body af komen te staan.
Dankzij de bolt-on halsconstructie kon ik de positie van de hals eenvoudig corrigeren door de halsbout los te draaien, de hals zorgvuldig terug in de juiste positie te brengen en de bout weer vast te zetten. De hals sluit nu weer goed aan op de body, de halshoek is correct en de gitaar speelt en klinkt uitstekend.
Ik vermeld deze geschiedenis graag open en transparant. De gitaar verkeert momenteel in zeer goede staat en kan uiteraard vooraf worden bekeken en bespeeld.

Ik verkoop de gitaar omdat ik een andere gitaar koop en helaas niet genoeg ruimte heb om beide te houden.

De gitaar wordt geleverd met de originele Guild Deluxe Poly-Foam Hardshell Case.

Een mooie Guild met een karaktervolle, warme klank en uitstekende bespeelbaarheid, klaar om nog vele jaren muziek te maken.

For sale: my Guild AD3 from the Arcos Series, built in 2013 in Ensenada, Mexico.

A beautiful and very comfortable-to-play dreadnought with a warm, full and mature tone. In my opinion, an excellent guitar for singer-songwriters, equally well suited to strumming and fingerpicking.

One particularly interesting feature of this Guild is its bolt-on neck construction. While many other Guild guitars use a traditional dovetail neck-to-body joint, this guitar has a bolt-on neck. This is a practical construction that also makes adjustment or removal of the neck considerably easier if ever required.
The laminated back and sides also make the guitar somewhat less sensitive to fluctuations in temperature and humidity. The solid Sitka spruce top has now had more than 10 years to mature, developing a beautiful, warm and mature tone.

History / condition:

I bought this guitar used from Max Guitar in Utrecht in 2020. At the time, the previous owner had installed a metal strap pin at the bottom of the neck heel, very close to the body. This had caused the neck heel to pull away from the body a few millimeters.
Because this Guild uses a bolt-on neck construction, I was able to correct the neck position by loosening the neck bolt, carefully repositioning the neck, and tightening the bolt again. The neck is now properly seated against the body, the neck angle is correct, and the guitar plays and sounds very well.
I mention this history openly for the sake of transparency. The guitar is currently in very good condition and can of course be inspected and played before purchase.

I am selling this guitar because I am buying another one and, unfortunately, I don't have enough space at home to keep both.

The guitar comes with its original Guild Deluxe Poly-Foam Hardshell Case.
