Here is a gorgeous looking, sounding, and playing Hamer Sunburst from 1980!

Arguably one of the first boutique guitars to hit the market, the Sunburst was first launched in 1977 as a high end USA made guitar that combined the best of modern and vintage features, offering players a traditionally crafted yet reliable instrument at a time when most American made brands were starting to fall behind. Early Sunbursts have started to become quite collectable due to their exceptional built quality and their affiliation with artists such as Andy Summers, Ian Anderson, and Rick Nielson.

This Sunburst is a low serial model dating to 1980 and features a gorgeous one piece flame maple cap on a one piece mahogany body, with a three piece mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard. The stock pickups are the sought after Dimarzio PAFs, no zebra but splitcoil in the neck - these sound fantastic and suit many styles of music.

Overall condition is good yet well played. The nitrocellulose lacquer has checking and cracks in some places, however this does not affect the playability or stability. The frets are 100% and play smoothly all the way up the neck with no buzzing.

Includes a hard shell case.
