Here's your road warrior - ready for battle!

It has NO cracks, NO breaks, NO refin, NO overspray! Plus it comes in the rare 1956 Gibson brown Les Paul hardshell case and weighs only 3.5Kg, Bigsby included!!

This stunning guitar has seen a thousand-and-one stages and it shows: look at the character and mojo - it just looks killer!! On top of that it is a very resonant guitar and the two P90's sound absolutely astonishing. The neck P90 is super strong and sounds warm, rich and open. The bridge P90 has a great quack to it and has that woody honky sound. This wonderful piece of history is destined to ignite a true love affair with it's next lucky owner on the next thousand roadtrips.

One of the trademarks of a great sounding guitar is it's appearance. Players who know what to look for in a vintage guitar tend to gravitate towards the ones that look like they've been around the world and back. And this one has seen some action to say the least - nicks, chips, dents, dings, scratches, pickwear, finish checking, buckle rash, small cracks and heavy finish wear - it's all there, and we love it! Just good, honest play wear on an almost 70 year old guitar with a beautiful patina. And there are no heel-, head- or neck- cracks or breaks!!!

It has a chunky one-piece mahogany C-shape neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots and a 42.8mm nut. The back of the neck is nicely worn and the nicks and dents feel like you already know it for decades. The dark fingerboard has some wear and was refretted professionally. The new frets show almost no wear whatsoever. The original Kluson strip tuners with shrunken tips are in the case and a cool set of 3L+3R Kluson tuners is now on there for better tuning stability. The neck is straight & truss rod is functioning fine.

The body is a solid one-piece mahogany slab with the original TV Yellow finish, an amazing looking original 1956 B7 Bigsby (slotted screw stud in the swivel handle, three hole tail tab for US models and PATENT D,169,120) and original Bigsby "Dog Bone" Sorkin LP bridge, the original 5-ply black pickguard, switchring, switchtip, trussrod cover, nut, pickguard, cover plates, output jack, jackplate etc. The P90 single coils with black 'soapbar' covers are original and have a very balanced output of 7.3k for the bridge and 7.5k on the neck pickup. The pots date to 1955 and 1956 and the caps are the original Grey Tiger capacitors. Underneath the bridge the original stud-bushings are still in the body so you could change this into a wrapover-bridge guitar and remove the Bigsby if so desired.

The 3-way switch was replaced as was the wiring from the switch to the pots and jack output. The knobs were once replaced with recent reissue black top hat knobs but we have binned them and put a set of original 1956 Gibson Gold speed knobs on there as used on mid 1950's Les Paul specials and Goldtops. Looks the bomb!

And to complete the package the guitar sleeps in the original 1956 Gibson brown Les Paul hardshell case!!
