1962 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst original

An ultra heavy worn original 1962 Strat with Sunburst nitro finish, no refinish, no overspray, some small touch-ups, checking, craquelé and wear all over the body, beautiful neck stamped 2 JUL 62B. The tone, vibe and looks of this machine are just out of this world....

And the sound? Think tevie Ray Vaughan's 1962/1963 No.1 Stratocaster, John Frusciante's 1962 Fender Strat and Rory Gallagher's '61 Strat... Thats what is secretly stashed in these early 60's Strats if you happen to find a good one! Bold and fat neck pickup sounds from the original black bottom single coil pickups, woody and chimey and an almost Tele twangy vibe from the bridge pickup with lots of wood in the tone. Amazing sustain and a perfect setup make this one hell of a guitar!!

It is all original 1962 with 3 x original Fender Black Bottom single coil pickups, pots all date to 1962, capacitor, 3-way switch, cloth wire, original knobs, pickguard, shield and plastics, original tremolo bridge and saddles all serviced to operate perfectly. Original double line Kluson Deluxe tuners, ashtray bridge cover, tremolo arm etc. The solid Alder body has an amazing out-of-this-world professional bridge pickup routing repair under the pickguard which was done by the best of the best: the Toneteam Francesco Balossino from Cesco's Corner Guitars and luthier Romano Burini from Fine Italian Handmade Guitars. You will have to look very very (VERY!) hard to see that there was any work done! The body has the correct pin holes on the top and shoulder in the cavity for a '62. On the headstock there is a small plugged hole from a previous 2nd string tree. Neck date stamp 2 JUL 62B with original marks, trussrod works fine, original spaghetti logo decal (!!) in great condition. Original piece of dark RW fretboard with clay dots in good condition,frets in good condition with plenty of life left.

The original Brown case is included in the sale but falls apart. It is hard to believe that the previous owner in the 90's and 2000's carried this guitar in that case for years and years to every single gig in and outside The Netherlands...
