De Wilson K4 staat in de contrabaswereld bekend om zijn punch, heldere mid-tonen en extreme ongevoeligheid voor rondzingen (feedback). Grote namen zoals Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen (NHOP) (deze versie) en Chris Minh Doky (de versie met 1 piezo in de brug) hebben dit systeem beroemd gemaakt.
Deze Contrabas pickup is de enige die een mooie gestreken en geplukte klank heeft die beiden het zelfde volume hebben , bijzonder mooi clean geluid, het boortje en de ruimer en de handleiding om het in je kam te plaatsen zit er bij.

The Wilson K4 Pickup for the double bass is the professional choice providing the very best amplified acoustic sound one can possibly get including patented individual volume adjusting of each string. The natural wood sound is focused and gives the punch that the bass has as well as the body and warmth. Wilson could with his trained ears as an amateur jazz bassist adjust the development proces of the Pickup system to its maximum capacities. The developed Wilson Pickup System turned out to be groundbreaking in the field of double bass amplification and has ever since resulted in a growing demand from bass players worldwide.
