Ⰿ GREAT BRITAIN (1813-1814): JAVA INDONESIA NETHERLANDS EAST INDIES ★ DUIT 1814! UNCOMMON! DISCOVERY COIN!

Interesting type in nice condition made on tin planchet. The obverse bears monogram VEIC which means [BRITISH] UNITED EAST INDIA COMPANY, where letter "U" had spelling as "V". After Napoleon broke democracy and freedom of the Netherlands and appointed his brother Louis to rule the new created kingdom He took possession from Louis back and lost Netherlands East Indies to the British Crown. Later Russians restored the order in Europe and Java was returned back to the Netherlands. For varieties lovers. Recently with help of this coin the standard classification of 1814 emission was developed by the seller.

This coin was struck by dies IV D, being reverse with very thick script essentially less frequently seen. For high interest of collectors to varieties the standard classification was published in world section of comprehensive catalog "VARIETIES OF EURO COINS" with images of this very coin for easy attribution.
