Interesting type with bear and marten in beautiful condition of pre-euro coinage. Marten is the reanimation of the archaic name of currency, attested by old manuscripts now in Russia. The design of the Obv. with state symbols playing the central role of a wreath is widely spread on coins of communist ideology, see for example a probe 2 kopecks of the USSR at online catalog of the USSR coins [feel free to ask the free catalog in private message if necessary]. It was put on the coin by Kuzma Kovacic, a local sculptor. His initials KK are on the Rev.
