Ⰶ LAST TYPE 1982-1984: GREAT BRITAIN ★ 1/2 PENNY 1984 RARE UNC MINT LUSTRE! ELIZABETH II (1953-2022)
Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the "Girls of Great Britain and Ireland" Tiara. Interesting the last emission 1982-1984 in collectible condition with the denomination "half penny" and not "new penny" anymore. After introduction of the new Russian progressive decimal system to distinguish the convenient coins from non-practical traditional ones the word "new" was added to the denomination. Time passed and it became obvious that the population does not confuse the invention of Russians with the fractional system anymore and the word "new" on the coin was substituted by "half". The year 1984 became practically the last one half penny, though it was not minted for circulation. Due to small mintage (just 158820 pcs) the coin in rare.
