Ⰿ FRANCE (1869-1870): GREECE ★ 5 LEPTONS 1869BB! GEORGE I (1863-1913) IN HOLDER!
Interesting type in nice condition stuck in Strasbourg and Paris. It is the first year of the type, which depicts the portrait of the King. The previous king Othon did not put His portrait on copper coins. Though the mint mark BB under wreath indicates Strasbourg, the privy marks point to both mints which performed the coinage. The trefoil cross is for mint master in Strasbourg Henri Delbecque to the left of the date and anchor with ring is for general coin engraver in Paris Desire-Albert Barre to the right of the date. Following tradition since antiquity the denomination is written in obols ([one] obol) and in leptons (5 leptons). This coin is packed in holder, which preserves it in the best way.
