a truly rare and historically significant Heuer 1550 SG Chronograph, famously known as the “Bundeswehr”, originally developed for the German military air force. This particular example, however, is one of the elusive civilian variants – incredibly hard to find on the open market.
This model features the “3H” red circle on the dial, indicating the use of tritium (Hydrogen-3) for luminescence. The watch is also equipped with a flyback chronograph, a highly desirable complication that allows the chronograph to be reset and restarted instantly with a single push — essential for aviators and timing professionals.
