The Big Bang launched in 2005 and was the first watch to be released by Hublot under the stewardship of Jean Claude Biver, who was instrumental in bringing the watch to life.
The Big Bang was inspired by earlier Hublot watches, but turned everything up to 11 with a large 44mm case and an unusual combination of materials including ceramic, rubber and gold, that personified the art of fusion mantra of the brand. The design was a hit with critics and customers alike, winning the prestigious GPHG best design award in 2005 and boosting Hublot’s revenue eightfold over a 4 year period following its release.
The Big Bang remains popular today and due to the creative freedom afforded by the art of fusion, it has a huge number of variations available to suit most tastes.
