For one of our customers in Belgium we are in search for a Planning Engineer (Commissioning).

Nouvall Engineering Services is specialized in project support for the (petro) chemical, IT and maritime industry. We provide expertise in the field of Engineering, Project Management, Maintenance, Shutdowns, Construction and Safety.

Functieomschrijving

You will support the finalization and execution of the commissioning schedule until the end of the commissioning phase. You will be a key member of the commissioning Management Team and will work under guidance of the Planning Manager and the site Commissioning Manager, on the construction sites in Antwerp.

Schedule Finalization & Optimization
• Refine and complete the existing commissioning schedule in Primavera P6.
• Integrate late scope changes, vendor constraints, and punch list impacts.
• Align commissioning activities with construction and startup teams.

Execution Support
• Develop detailed 2-week and 4-week look-ahead schedules for field teams• Monitor daily progress and identify potential bottlenecks.
• Support system handovers and readiness reviews.

Reporting & Analysis
• Generate progress reports, S-curves, and critical path analyses.
• Support KPI reporting and earned value tracking.
• Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.

Functie-eisen

Level of Education & General Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Controls, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial project scheduling, with at least 5 years in commissioning.
• Experience in turnaround scheduling is strongly preferred.
• Successful in Lead planning role position(s) for a large project(s) in construction site
• Thorough working knowledge of scheduling practices for major projects in commissioning phase

Technical Skills
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of commissioning workflows, system handovers, and startup logic.
• Familiarity with some or any of the following would be an advantage; HCS, Go Technology, or EasyPlant commissioning/completion management system/QA databases.

Preferred Certifications:
• PMI-SP (Scheduling Professional)
