The Salon Champagne 2013 is a truly exceptional vintage, only the 44th release in the house's 120-year history.

* Source: Exclusively from the Grand Cru village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger in the Côte des Blancs.
* Aging: Aged on its lees for about 10 years, which contributes to its complexity and depth.
* Dosage: Low (around 5.5 to 7 g/l), maintaining its dry, pristine character.
Tasting Notes
The 2013 is described by critics as a powerful, dense, and complex young Salon, combining the sizzling energy of the 2008 with the persistence of the 2004, but with more mid-palate richness.
* Appearance: Radiant pale gold with golden and green nuances, and a fine, persistent mousse.
* Aromas: A bouquet of white flowers (linden, jasmine), lemon confit, bergamot zest, and classic Le Mesnil minerality, followed by hints of brioche, toasted hazelnut, and salted butter caramel as it opens up.
* Palate: It is dry, rich, and long, with a vibrant, defining acidity and perfect balance. It shows a muscular structure with tremendous depth, finesse, and a chalky, mouth-watering finish that is the signature of Salon.
The 2013 Vintage
The 2013 growing season was cool and late-ripening, with a harvest starting in early October under sunny, dry days and cool nights. This resulted in Chardonnay grapes with good alcoholic content and excellent acidity, leading to a wine with a restrained, pure, and linear expression, but underpinned by great tensile strength and a magnificent potential for long aging.
