The Channel IslandsThis pilot covers The Channel Islands: Alderney, Guernsey, Sark, Herm and Jersey. It also includes the off-lying rocks of Les Ecreheu and the Minquiers. These sailing directions use transits on conspicuous rocks, headlands and buildings to shape courses between and around the islands. Much information has been compiled with the assistance of local pilots and yachtsmen. Each transit is numbered and, with the support of annotated sea level photographs, many of wich are in colour, and clearly marked medium scale charts, is descrided step by step. The Channel Islands provides the pilotage necessary for close inshore exploration of the attractive bays and harbours in the islands.
