ABOUT THE SLALOM | MODENA BX Carbone 2026
for 2026, the modena slalom 98, 108, and 118l feature completely new shapes, redesigned to deliver even faster acceleration, improved control, and smoother handling in all racing conditions.
the modena slalom 88 (229 x 60 x 88l) and 98 (229 x 62 x 98l) are the strong-wind boards of the range. while the 88 keeps its proven outline and bottom shape, the new 98l now offers a refined scoop line and optimized tail cut-outs to enhance early planing and control at full speed. the straight mid-section remains dedicated to pure speed, while the slightly higher nose and updated tail geometry provide extra lift and stability in choppy conditions and through fast jibes.
the modena slalom 108 (229 x 68 x 108l) and 118 (229 x 72.5 x 118l) are entirely new for 2026, bringing a modern balance between control, power, and acceleration. both boards feature a redesigned bottom shape with a deeper v through the midsection that transitions into a light v at the tail, giving a smoother ride in choppy water and more stability at high speeds. the reworked rocker line ensures earlier planing and better top-end control, making the new 108 and 118 the perfect choice for medium-wind racing.
the modena slalom 128 (229 x 77 x 128l) and 138 (227 x 85 x 138l) remain the lightwind machines of the collection. their shapes feature a narrower front outline and extra volume in the tail and rear rails to maximize lift and power under the back foot. the bottom design has a flat tail with a light v, deepening toward the midsection for optimal drive, upwind efficiency, and smooth control even in stronger gusts.
In addition, we use Surfing Hot Coat technology with pigmented epoxy resin, significantly reducing the need for paint layers. This optimized finishing process lowers overall weight while maintaining a clean, durable surface.
