Deze Rosenthal Studio-Line Mythos espressokop en schotel van Jane Osborn Smith heeft een vleugelhandgreep geïnspireerd door Icarus, handgeschilderde veren en 24K goudaccenten voor een typerend postmoderne porseleinen stuk.
Elegant collectible espresso cup with matching saucer from the “Mythos” series by Rosenthal Studio-Line, designed by Jane Osborn Smith in the 1990s.
This rare “Icarus” edition is distinguished by its wing-shaped handle and vivid hand-decorated feathers in shades of gold, red, turquoise and blue. The piece features delicate 24K gold details and fine porcelain craftsmanship typical of Rosenthal’s design era.
Both the cup and saucer are marked on the base with the green Rosenthal studio-line Germany stamp and the series designation Mythos – Nr. 6 – Jane Osborn Smith.
The gold stand is only for picture usage, this is not included when buying.
Dimensions:
• Cup height: approx. 7.5 cm
• Cup width (incl. handle): approx. 10.5 cm
• Saucer diameter: approx. 13.5 cm
Condition:
Good overall condition with only minor imperfections consistent with age and use:
– A small superficial line on the rim of the cup (see photo)
– A tiny glaze mark on the saucer No cracks or chips. The gilding and colors remain bright and intact.
