A fine Dutch engraved 'De Negotie te Waater en te Land' goblet, signed by Jacob Sang

The round funnel bowl, very finely decorated with a continuous scene of a three-master ship in a harbour with bales and casks being loaded on to horse-drawn sleds, the reverse with a stylised view of the Old Customs House, Amsterdam, and the goods being weighed, under the inscription, set on a slender multi-knopped stem and wide conical foot, inscribed ‘Jacob Sang, inv - et Fec: Amsterdam, 1759’. With a label of the ‘Ron & Mary Thomas Collection’.
