Unusual Retro ITALIAN Pottery SPAGHETTI CAT Italy - 1950's Mid Century Modern

It is much rarer to find Spaghetti Cat these were more commonly made as Spaghetti Poodle Figurines.

This is a ceramic spaghetti cat figure that dates from the 1950’s. One is much more likely to find a ceramic spaghetti poodle than cat.

This particular cat is seated on her hind legs. She is reading a book held in her front paws.
There is a pink ribbon around her neck.
As is common with this type of spaghetti style ceramics, there is some roughness on some of the loops.

There appears to be one spaghetti loop that is missing a small piece.This is barely noticeable and is found on the backside of the body.

The cat measures 10cm in height and 5cm in width and 6cm long from end of tail to front paws.

This piece is stamped, “ Made in Italy” on the underside of the base.

The Cat is in overall good, used condition, No cracks, some minor signs of wear and a small chip from one of the spaghetti fur pieces on the low back, also tiny nibbles from some of the glaze, consistent with age of the piece. - Please study the photos to gauge the condition for yourself.
