Twee zwartgelakte Japanse Tansu-kasten, eind Meiji-tijdperk (1868-1912). De onderste kast is een Choba Tansu (koopmanskist) en heeft verschillende sloten, de bovenste is een Haribako Tansu (naaikist) met een prachtige met stofgoud ingelegde bloem. De lak heeft een uitzonderlijk patina die de stukken karakter en leeftijd geeft. Messing beslag. Beide hebben handgrepen zodat ze gemakkelijk verplaatst kunnen worden.

Two black lacquered Japanese Tansu cabinets, end of the Meiji Era (1868-1912). The bottom chest is a Choba Tansu (merchant chest) and has several locks, the top one is a Haribako Tansu (sewing chest) with a beautiful gold dust inlaid flower. The lacquer has exceptional patina and wear which gives the pieces character and age. Brass hardware. Both have handles so they can be moved around easily.
