Porselein jachthond met fazant
RARE and collectible hunting dog or setter with pheasant in its mouth. This large decorative figurine was made by famed Czech company Royal Dux in the pre-war period. Smooth bisque porcelain is finely moulded and hand painted on a naturalistic base with grass and foliage. A beautiful, true-to-life model for the dog-lover or collector. A very special gift.
TRADEMARK for 1918-38 period is the circular stamp 'Made in Czechoslovakia'. Impressed TO942 R Note: the Royal Dux mark without the applied pink triangle is well documented for this period. This circular mark is sometimes confused with a similar oval Amphora mark.

CONDITION: Very good for its age; small chip at the wing of the oheasant
