Japanese Highlights, 8 fine art prints (Van Gogh Museum)

During his two-year stay in Paris (March 1886 - February 1888) Vincent Van Gogh developed into a remarkable modern artist.
Japanese woodcuts played an important role in his abandonment of an old-fashioned style in favour of a highly personal,modern technique. Van Gogh collected Japanese prints which he bought from the Paris art dealer Siegfried Bing. His collection of circa 500 prints is now kept in the Van Gogh Museum. The images on this set of fine art prints have been selected from this collection.
