Rob started with nature photography in 1973 with landscapes, birds and mammals. In time this progressed into an uncontrolled hobby as he likes to call this himself. He worked as a division director for a big US multinational, but in spite of that he always found some time to travel in nature as a passionate nature photographer in the broadest sense of the word. His vision and affinity are not just limited to birds and wildlife, but also includes landscapes across the globe with a particular fondness for the Arctic and Antarctic regions. He works on calendars for more then 33 consecutive years for the 3M company and has published 4 nature books for them.
