Exclusive Artworks by Serwan Baran – Available for Private Sale
I am honored to personally know Serwan Baran, an acclaimed Iraqi Kurdish artist whose work captures deep human emotions through his distinctive style. Serwan has exhibited his work globally, including at the prestigious Venice Biennale in 2019. In 2021, I met him at his atelier in Istanbul, where I commissioned two unique paintings that hold deep personal meaning for me.
One piece is of Chet Baker, inspired by the iconic photograph from Chet Baker Sings. Serwan brought it to life with his own color choices and artistic interpretation, blending his signature style with the essence of jazz. The second piece is of Nina Simone, one of my greatest musical inspirations. Her eyes are closed in the painting, a powerful feature often present in Serwan’s work, reflecting themes of introspection, war, and conflict.
As a passionate musician, producer, and DJ, music has always been a central part of my life. These paintings were a gift from Serwan, a testament to our friendship and shared appreciation for artistic expression.
I am now offering both pieces for private sale and have attached official signed authorization from Serwan Baran confirming me as his official dealer in the Netherlands.
