Traditionally, entry level decks have competed by offering features that are cosmetically impressive but, unfortunately, musically irrelevant.

The CD91C and CD91 are the striking exception to this rule. It is one of the few cassette decks in the world, in any price category, with the ability to reproduce sounds over the entire range of human hearing.

Harman Kardon's ultra wide band technology provides the CD91C and CD91 with a frequency response of 20Hz to 21kHz (±3dB), using any tape formulation.

This is coupled with a signal to noise ratio of 65dB (Dolby B on CD91) and 73dB (Dolby C on CD91C). And the wow and flutter is rated at a mere 0.05%.

They offer other features rarely found in decks of its category. They have a Sendust record/ playback head for long life and dependable performance at high levels, sophisticated record and playback circuitry for open, transparent sound, and Solenoid Transport for smooth operation.

For precise recording, on CD91C, you can also find a bias fine trim that lets you adjust the bias precisely to the tape you're using.

With all of these features contributing to a superior sound, you may well wonder how you can do better than the CD91C and CD91. And the only answer we know of is to move up the Harman Kardon line.
