Philips Flashbox Flitscamera uit circa 1949-1950, ook wel de "Stallantaarn" genoemd vanwege zijn vorm.
De behuizing is gemaakt van zwart Philite, een merknaam voor bakeliet gebruikt door Philips.
De camera werd specifiek ontworpen om de verkoop van Philips Photoflux flitslampjes te promoten.
Het toestel maakt gebruik van 620-rolfilm om vierkante negatieven van 6x6 cm te produceren
The Box Flash, also sold as Flitscamera, is a Bakelite box camera with a built-in flash reflector, made in the Netherlands by Philips. It was introduced in 1950. It takes 6x6cm frames on 120 film or 620 film.
The lens is coated. Its shutter has a fixed speed of 1/25 second (and 'B'), and the aperture is f/11.
The material is actually Philite, Philips' own thermoset resin material, used for making radio bodies
