In optische nieuwstaat een set buitengewoon muzikale luidsprekers te koop van de Britse luidsprekerfabrikant Spendor. Google zeker even naar recensies om een goed beeld te krijgen van wat deze luidsprekers in huis hebben en waartoe ze in staat zijn. Kom zeker luisteren* om dit ook zelf te verifiëren.
Bouwjaar is 2008. Introductieprijs (2005): 3.590 Euro. Naar inflatie gecorrigeerde prijs anno 2024 is 5.067 Euro.
Luidsprekers klinken groots. Akoestisch, vocaal, jazz, klassiek, het is om van te smullen. Daarbij klinken de speakers nooit vermoeiend (i.e. spendor sound). En wat ik zelf erg fijn vind, ook op laag volume blijven de speakers veel luisterplezier geven.

Reden verkoop: de set heb ik recentelijk overgenomen van de eerste eigenaar, maar mijn ‘gezin’ vind ze achteraf te groot voor in onze huiskamer. Tja... (ter vergelijk: ze zijn ongeveer even groot als het huidige model Spendor A7).
Ter vergelijkking: laatste opvolger in deze lijn is de fenomenale Spendor D7.2 (set nieuwprijs 7.244 Eur).

“Well I had a pair a few years back and I liked 'em fine, though they're not to everyone's taste, and its kind of hard to describe how speakers sound but here goes... Very detailed and accurate in the mid and treble but not at all harsh, nice firm bass - clean but definitely not bloated. The mix is always clear and seperate - kind of an 'airy' sound. They sounded particularly good with acoustic/vocal or classical stuff. May not be the ideal choice for dance or anything else really bass heavy, but actually good amplification makes a difference - mine took a major step up when I got some Cyrus monoblocks. “
