Yamaha HX-10000 in very good condition, see photos. I took one photo, from such an angle that you can see a small scratch like a hair; from a certain angle, it is visible.

Part of the Centennial series and produced in very limited numbers: By 1987, LP replication was clearly on the decline, and Yamaha must have considered this, as the HX was introduced into the product lineup four months after the others.

The HX-10000 "offers the epitome of sophisticated audiophile performance": Like the CDX-10000, the HX cabinet contains two separate sub-cabinets, one containing the power supply and the other containing the amplifier stages.

The overall chassis is constructed from 9 mm (front), 5 mm (top and bottom), and 3 mm (rear) extruded aluminum pieces.

The four double-sided glass-epoxy amplifier boards are each supported by five 8 mm brass posts; OFC wiring (even in the thick AC cable), 1% foil caps, aluminum caps, bypass caps, gold-plated OFC busbars, and regulations throughout. The connectors are all cut from brass and gold-plated – ground posts included.

The four shielding boxes that house the four EQ stages are similar to those of the CX-10000.

The power supply is worthy of a power amplifier, with a hefty transformer (taken from the CX-10000) and six capacitors, totaling... 100,000 µF!

The EQ stages allow for the connection of two separate turntables, each using either MC or MM cartridges, so the HX-10000 is effectively a quadruple EQ stage: Phono 1L, 1R, Phono 2L, and 2R.

The entire HX circuitry is based on discrete components, eliminating the need for ICs and operational amplifiers.

Unfortunately, this is close to invisibility.
