Beschrijving
De Dual CS704 is een legendarische direct drive platenspeler. Het is een halfautomaat (slaat automatisch af aan het einde van de plaat). Geschikt voor 45 en 33 toeren platen. De platenspeler is op leeftijd uiteraard, maar werkt nog voortreffelijk.
Er zijn online vele verhalen over te vinden, bijvoorbeeld op Vinylengine, waar Speyer schrijft: I think the 704 is the best deck Dual has ever made. It's just so quiet and reliable.. nothing to break down (auto-lift only) and virtually maintenance free. With a Shure V15iii-HE fitted... the sound is firm, full and holographic. It has an incredibly wide and deep soundstage with perfect pitch. These old Duals have shockingly low rumble, wow & flutter and they are/were so beautifully engineered to perform as precision instruments. Lesser models (604, 606, 510, 502) will still out perform modern decks by almost all manufacturers. The 704 is without a doubt the best sounding table in my stable.
