Description :

The Sonus Faber Quid is an integrated amplifier made in the mid 80s and discontinued in 1992. It is a very slim and rectangular shaped real Italian walnut cabinet with a huge separated power supply, connected to the amplifier via a monstrous cable. The front panel has two walnut knobs placed (volume and source selector) and two switches (on/off and source/tape monitor). The Sonus Faber Quid is a lovely piece of electronic art that gets more beautiful as time pass as the walnut gets darker.

The Sonus Faber Quid is a fast sounding and dynamically explosive amplifier. It can virtually drive many speakers, bringing new life even to the laziest and slowest ones. Compared with other amplifiers, it outperforms contenders dynamically, clarity and also in agility. It is powerful and produces sounds louder that what is expected. It has very detailed highs which, with mediocre speakers, may result even a little too bright. When listened at very low volume, the Sonus Faber Quid sounds warm and sweet. The bass range is peculiar, not particularly powerful but deep and very agile. The razor edge precision makes acoustical guitars and voices literally materialize into the listening room. The 3D reproduction and image depth is precise and wide. The Sonus Faber Quid is powerful enough to tremble the room when matched with the right speakers.
