• De backlight (achtergrondverlichting) is kapot Het scherm is donker, maar met een zaklamp is de afbeelding nog zichtbaar (het hoofdpaneel is nog intact).

• The backlight is broken. The screen is dark, but the image is still visible with a torch (which confirms the main panel is still intact).
• The issue can be resolved by replacing the internal LED strips (the backlight module).

For the DIY/Handy Person:

• The estimated cost for the parts is approximately €80, and it's a relatively simple repair for someone who is handy and motivated.
• We clearly lack the motivation to fix it, so the TV is up for sale.
