A Unique Opportunity: My Custom Iveco Turbo Daily Firetruck Conversion Project
As a SolidWorks electromechanical designer, I envisioned creating a mobile office perfectly tailored to my needs: a self-sufficient workspace equipped with an emergency couch, full bathroom, and ample power for my reverse-engineering projects.
I frequently work at remote sites with limited access to services, so I selected an ex-firetruck with a flat roof, ideal for mounting solar panels to power my setup. My plan included a dedicated work corner, coffee machine, fridge, microwave, and a spacious WC designed to accommodate my 125kg frame.
While I typically stay in hotels overnight, I wanted a vehicle with a full desk and all the comforts for extended stays on-site. Initially, I explored vans, but they lacked the space to realize my vision.
I began bidding on firetrucks at auctions in Germany and won a 1996 Iveco Turbo Daily by placing a bid just €2 above a round number. Thrilled, I started planning the conversion.
However, in my enthusiasm, I forgot I had placed bids on multiple firetrucks that met my criteria. To my surprise, I also won a 12-ton MAN firetruck, which I need to pick up next week in Dresden.
With a Class C driver's license, I've decided to keep the larger MAN truck and sell the Iveco. This creates a rare opportunity to purchase the Iveco at a special reduced price, valid until Sunday, May 11, 2025.
Why the urgency to sell? I took a credit card loan to cover the purchase of the MAN truck, and I need to repay the funds to my account to avoid interest charges. Additionally, my landlord barely tolerates having one truck on the property, and I don't want to strain their kindness by keeping two.
Don't miss your chance to own this versatile ex-firetruck, perfect for your own conversion project! Check the vehicle specifications in the ad below and contact me to arrange a viewing in Hoofddorp, Netherlands.
Serious offers only, please—no "minimum price" inquiries. For reference, I've included a photo of the MAN truck to show I'm being transparent about my situation, not just pushing a sale.
