This one-off single is the result of a Dutch TV show from the early nineties, called "Voor De Leeuwen" ("In Front Of The Lions") in which the journalist/TV-host Willibrord Frequin faced a challenge in every episode: choose a job and try to excel in it as soon as possible.

In one of the episodes he is supposed to become a real artist, and with the help of Tony Berk, the founder of Dino Music and producer Peter Koelewijn, he records the single "Hé Jij (Ga 'Ns Effe Opzij)". The single flops and Willibrord Frequin basically 'failed' for that particular episode of the program.

The labels contain three typos: the title on the labels is spelled as "Hé Jij (Ga 'Ens Effe Opzij)"; Studio 88 is stated as "Studio B.B." and publishing company T.B.M. International C.V. is misspelled as I.B.M. International C.V. - It's not known how many singles were pressed for the program's episode.
