A luxurious hardcover book about Dutch artist Erik Renssen. Written by art historian Jaap Nijstad, the book contextualises Renssen's work from a historical perspective. RENSSEN presents a selection of the artist's oeuvre from 2009-2015 while looking forward to new developments and influences in his art. The book also explores collaborations that the artist has embarked upon in recent years with passionate artisans like our framemaker, printmaker and bronze foundry.

Erik Renssen (b. 1960, Deventer, NL.) is an independent artist - an intellectual assembler of images. Although primarily a painter, Renssen also enjoys making limited edition lithographs, linocuts and sculptures in bronze. Renssen’s admiration for the work of Pablo Picasso has resulted in a meticulous study of the great master’s work. He has internalised Picasso’s visual language and he uses it to paint his own personal stories.
