"Australian fashion designer, stylist, and designer Richard de Chazal presents two series of highly erotic photographs in his first illustrated book, Luxure.

The first series features voluptuously baroque male bodies drenched in gold-bronze, reminiscent of ancient myths of gods, military fantasies, and the bohemian life surrounding Marlene Dietrich in the 1920s. A stimulating feature of this series is the adaptation of text excerpts from English dictionaries, which integrate definitions from the wide world of eroticism, lust, and submission into the photographs, offering the viewer sardonic thought experiments.

In his second series, Richard de Chazal presents a cycle of images spanning the four seasons. In their multicolored, lush splendor, these photos are reminiscent of the works of Pierre & Gilles. But de Chazal complements this fairytale-like, over-the-top color and orgy of décor with a subtle trick: the same model appears multiple times in the photographs. Both a source of irritation and fascination for the viewer.

Richard de Chazal's works were created during the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney.
His models are correspondingly athletically powerful.
Stylistic references to the works of Leni Riefenstahl, Josef von Sternberg, and Dulac are undeniable. Delicate color gradients, reflections, and the perfect play of light and brightness demonstrate the outstanding artistic, but also technical, level of retouching and digital image processing by Richard de Chazal. The printing technology of Luxure at Bruno Gmünder Verlag is also commendable.
Rarely do you find illustrated books with such clean binding, high-quality paper, and excellent printing.
Given this effort, a little more could have been invested in the cover. The leather-like paper feels like cheap plastic, fades in the sun, and is sensitive to sweaty hands, which one can easily get when looking at Richard de Chazal's pictures."
This photo book is a must-have for any lover of homoerotic photography.

Condition:The interior of the book is new. All pages are undamaged, have no underlining of text, no highlighting of text, no writing in margins.
In fact, the book is unused and unread. (For taking photos it was opened, but very carefully.)
The hard cover is in excellent condition/like new too.
