Disc 1--More Sousa than Alford, but a very rewarding collection. Seldom heard selections and novelties, such as an introduction to Anchors Away (sorry, "Aweigh"). Quality Alford standards. The usual not-American, British idiosyncratic arrangements/instrumentations of Sousa.

Disc 2--More classic marches, including marches from the movies. Diverse, interesting selections, including Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines -- which I hadn't heard since seeing the movie in the theater.

Disc 3--More classic marches, including a very idiosyncratic arrangement of Old Comrades and a spirited Lorraine. Disc 3 is mostly bagpipe and drums, but top-notch piping and very crisp Scottish drum work.
