Delavega ‎– Falling Into Place CD

DeLaVega effortlessly mixes a colorful collection of styles and genres, such as rock, soul, triphop and jazz. Think of an accessible version of bands like Lamb or Red Snapper. Or think of a soulful Zuco103. The band members master the instruments they play and especially the singer lifts the band to a higher level. Just listen to the single Surely or to songs like Aspects of You, Sunset Sky and the fine seventies-soul-tinged song Better Be Divine, in which Accoe shows her range several times. Nevertheless, the cinematic and Accoe-less Baudelaire is the most deviant, but also the most interesting song on the album. Then DeLaVega sounds like an exciting soundtrack, with many weird excesses that are reminiscent of Tom Waits and the famous Antwerp bands.
