A rogue wave brutally capsizing a luxury cruise liner
It's New Years Eve on the Poseidon - a state of the art cruise liner on it's way to New York - as partying voyagers lift glasses and toast the future, little do they realize their predicament. Rapidly approaching is a 150-foot rogue wave that when it strikes, Poseidon is turned upside down.
Director Wolfgang Petersen (The Perfect Storm, Troy, Das Boot) returns to the sea with a thrill-packed, edge of your seat action feature. Josh Lucas, Kurt Russell, Richard Dreyfuss and Emmy Rossum are among the group of survivors that are determined to try to fight their way to the surface through the disorienting upside-down maze of twisted steel. As the unstable vessel rapidly fills with water and axplosions burst around them, they fight against time for their own survival and for each other.
