The 'Canterbury Tales' is a series of colorful stories by the man known as the greatest English writer before Shakespeare: Geoffrey Chaucer (1342-1400). The stories, which take place on the old pilgrimage route from London to Canterbury, are sometimes very serious, sometimes downright humorous. This BBC television series features six, in a modern adaptation and played by a collection of top actors as colorful as the stories themselves.
