Prince Philip – Dubplates And Raw Rhythm From King Tubby's Studio 1973-1976.
This compilation is dedicated to the memory of the late great “Prince” Philip Smart - the first apprentice of King Tubby and the first engineer at Tubby’s studio besides Tubby himself.
The tracks are definitely as dubby as promised in the title, but there's also plenty of standout vocals as well, with Jacob Miller, Johnny Clarke, Hugh Mundell, who work here with some instrumental contributions from Augustus Pablo as well.
