iMac 27" Core i3.3 3.2GHz 4GB/1TB/Radeon HD 5670-512MB GDDR3 (model 2010)
I have wiped this IMac clean. You need to install the Mac OS. Easiest way to do this is to go to Apple Store on Leidseplein with a USB B stick (32GB is best, 16GB may be enough). On it they will download the “bootable installer” for the OS X suitable for this model. The rest you can do at home with this USB stick. This is the procedure recommended by Apple Help ( 0800 0201 581 ) when I called them for guidance.
To start, hold down
shift+option+command+R
until the Apple icon appears.
This brings you to the 4 options in “macOS Utilities”
1) Restore from Time Machine Backup
2) Reinstall Mac OS
(See above about "bootable installer")
3) Get Help Online (I include the ethernet cable)
4) Disk Utility
I also include a usb-c to mini display port (MDP) cable.
