NIKON COOLSCAN 8000

NIKON COOLSCAN 8000 de NIKON Coolscan 8000 ED = 4.2 D density rating with 4000 dpi and firewire The Nikon Coolscan 8000ED is a film scanner dedicated for 120/220 medium format film. For many the holy grail when it comes down to scanning in their medium format negatives with the one of the highest possible resolutions and sharpness. Only the Hasselblad Flextight will beat it. This copy unfortunately is in need for some attention first. We don’t have the masks so were unable to test the device to the fullest. It does power on, we inspected the main circuit board and all seems to work well. We can not spot any damages to the internal parts and there is no moisture/water damage present. We can however spot a broken off hinge on the front cover, where the film is inserted into. This hinge also triggers a sensor that communicates something digital to the device. This is probably to tell the scanner there is something inserted and the device can proceed with scanning. This should be an easy repair or fixed permanently into the open position, since the 8000 has another sliding cover on the front to prevent dust from getting in. NOTE: this scanner is sold AS-IS and was not tested with a PC. The scanner comes with a firewire 400 cable only. No inserts/masks. Most likely will work perfectly fine after the mentioned repair above, and therefore is sold for a heavily reduced price. Will be packed well and shipped with courier service.
