De Yamaha Virago was Yamaha 's eerste V-twin cruiser- motorfiets en een van de vroegste in massa geproduceerde motorfietsen met een monoshock- achterwielophanging.
Oorspronkelijk verkocht met een 750 cc (46 cu in) motor in 1981, Yamaha voegde al snel 500 cc (31 cu in) en 920 kubieke centimeter (56 cu in) versies toe.
