Authetic Iga clay pot/ rice cooker by Nagatanien. In excellent condition, slight blackening on the bottom (this is normal and it gets darker with age).
Gorgeous to handle and treasure. A recent purchase from Japan.
Makes perfect rice, miso soup, etc. Safe on gas on medium flame. Do not soak in water, just wipe clean after use.
If you've ever had rice from a real donabe, or you're in love with Iga clay pottery, you know that it is beyond compare due to the double lid technology and the properties of the clay.
Cooking takes about 12 minutes for white, 18 for black or brown rice.
