As my family is growing I am offering my social house located in the heart of Amsterdam (Weesperplein 1091GD) for home exchange (woningruiling). It has a perfect location close to the park, river, transportation stations, shopping steets .etc.
Here are the details:
It is a two rooms apartment, living room of around 17m and a bedroom of around 15m with a separate kitchen and bathroom, and a long balcony, as well as a zolder storage room. It is a first floor. The best thing about this house is its location.
6000 Euro for you:
A huge advantage is that within 2 years the house will be completely renovated by the housing company. Which means you get 6000 euro and the Gemeente gives you a priority to choose any house you want on wooningruil, or that you can decide to come back to the same house completely renovated.
The house is located in a lively and vibrant area known as the knowledge mile. It is called the knowledge mile because it is the street of the universities and colleges. It is 20 seconds walk to the canal so if you like to have a boat and roam the canals of Amsterdam then this is a perfect choice. You can also see the canal from the living room and in the summer you could see all the boats passing by, also you are 3 minutes walk from the Amstel river where you can enjoy all the most important cultural events and celebrations like New Year Fireworks, gay parade, Konningsdag, or just to chill one the water side and wave at the non-stop passing boats. It is 7 minutes from the most famous concert house Carre, life is never boring in this area.
That being said, it is not crazy busy here (that’s why I love this house), because the balcony has the view of the inner garden of the building, with a green view and absolute silence, you won’t believe you are in the heart of the city. Also I have a super nice neighbors. I never hear them, and they never hear me, even when I through parties with loud music until the morning. The sound isolation is perfect.
- It is also 5 minutes walk from the Oosterpark and the OLVG hospital and the Eerste Oosterparkstraat (shopping street) with various stores like AH, Blokker, grocery stores, animal shops, bike shops, etos, secondhand shop, countless restaurants, and anything you need.
- The house is a transportation heaven. It is located between the Amsterdam central station and Amstel station. 5 minutes with the metro (or 13 minutes by bike) to reach Amsterdam Central station and 3 minutes to the Amstel Station (8 min by bike). It is 2 minutes walk from Weesperplein metro and tram station, and night shops, and 5 minutes away from Wibautstraat metro and tram station.
- There are 3 Albert Heijn shops close to me, the first one is 2-3 minutes walk, the other two are five minutes walk. The Lidl is around 7 minutes walk, and it is across of the Amstel river so the walk there is a treat by itself.
- Under the house is an office (so no noise at all) and next to it there is a laundry shop, a bar, a café, a restaurant, AMVI, a children day care, a massage center, a meditation center, etc. And on top of that you can buy cheap food from the Hogeschool Van Amsterdam (right next door), which also have a gym as well. So your walk to the gym is 30 seconds.
It is not possible to count everything around me as the house is in a perfect location, if I had an extra room for the baby, I would never leave the house.
The balcony is 6.5 meter long, and 1 meter broad. The photos shows only half of it. As for the zolder room, it is on the 4th floor, and it is big and spacy.
My request:
I am looking for a social house, at least 3 rooms (two bedrooms and one living room) with a garden in Amsterdam or it’s surrounding. The closer to the center the better.
