Hip dysplasia baby car seat

This used to be a regular car seat. However, when our daughter was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and had to wear spica cast for 12 weeks, we found ourselves in a position when even Maxi-cosi Opal didn't fit her. Her cast was completely flat. We adjusted the strap length of our regular car seat, put the cushion on the bottom, and our daughter travelled on top of it safely. Only like that was she able to travel in the car, and the straps were long enough to hold her in place. This was an improvised solution, but it helped us greatly throughout this period. There might be other parents looking for a solution like this. Is why we decided to give this seat another chance to serve that one baby who might need it in her journey to recovery!
