Hierbij aangeboden een legendarische Triumph Daytona 955i uit 2006 (de gezochte tweede generatie met het strakke kuipwerk). Een brute, analoge driecilinder superbike met een fantastisch, rauw geluid en die heerlijke ronkende plofjes in de uitlaat bij gas los!
Ik heb deze motor gekocht als winterproject en heb hem de afgelopen periode mechanisch volledig rijklaar en betrouwbaar gemaakt. Er is flink aan geklust en de bekende 955i-kwaaltjes zijn direct vakkundig opgelost. Hij start direct (zoals een gezonde triple betaamt zoekt hij de eerste 15-30 seconden heel even zijn stationair toerental en stabiliseert dan prachtig) en rijdt super. Sinds het groot onderhoud is er nauwelijks mee gereden.
Technisch & Mechanisch aangepakt:


Vloeistoffen: Verse motorolie en een nieuw oliefilter.
Koelsysteem: Volledig chemisch gespoeld om kalkafzetting en kristallen te verwijderen en gevuld met gloednieuwe koelvloeistof. De kwetsbare ontluchtingsnippel is professioneel hersteld met een op maat gemaakte, met messing hardgesoldeerde kraan inclusief rubber O-ring passing.
Remsysteem: De achterremklauw is volledig gedemonteerd en gereviseerd met gloednieuwe zuigers en afdichtingen (Tourmax). Zowel voor als achter volledig doorgespoeld en ontlucht met verse remvloeistof. Remmen zijn snaarstrak en lopen volledig vrij.
Laadsysteem & Elektronica: Al voorzien van de bekende MOSFET Regulator/Rectifier (RR) upgrade met dikke 6mm² bekabeling rechtstreeks naar de accu. Het laadcircuit is superstabiel en levert een gezonde 14.0V bij stationair toerental.
Aandrijving & Rijwielgedeelte: De ketting en tandwielen verkeren in goede staat. De ketting is intensief gereinigd en gesmeerd. De excentrische kettingsteller (bekend punt bij enkelzijdige achterbruggen) loopt en draait volledig vrij! De achterwielophanging (suspension linkage) beweegt volledig vrij en soepel. De voorvorkpoten en vorkpootafdichtingen (fork seals) zijn in goede, droge staat.

Optische staat & Aandachtspunten:
De motor is technisch helemaal klaar, maar heeft optisch wat liefde nodig. De vorige eigenaar heeft helaas een andere motorfiets tegen de linker zijkant van de kuip laten vallen. Dit is inmiddels structureel gerepareerd, maar de linkercuip moet nog wel netjes gespoten worden. Mocht je de ruimte en tijd hebben, dan is dit prima zelf te doen als winterproject. De knipperlichtrubbers zijn momenteel gelijmd (vervangen kan op termijn).
De banden hebben nog goed profiel, maar zijn gezien de leeftijd (DOT 2013/2014) echt aan vervanging toe voor veilig en sportief gebruik. De motor heeft dus nieuwe banden nodig. Indien gewenst kan ik er hier in de buurt nieuwe banden onder laten zetten voor je, maar deze extra kosten zijn uiteraard wel volledig voor de nieuwe eigenaar.
Wat krijg je er allemaal bij (Inbegrepen in de prijs):


Er zit momenteel een comfortabel superbike stuur (straight bars) op gemonteerd voor een fijnere zithouding.
De originele bovenste kroonplaat (top yoke) en de originele clip-ons zijn aanwezig en krijg je erbij voor als je hem weer origineel wilt maken (ik haal de kroonplaat aanstaande vrijdag op, dus die ligt direct klaar).
Zowel de duozitting (rear seat) als de originele 'rear seat cowling' (kap voor de sololook) zijn aanwezig.
De originele Triumph boordgereedschapset (tool kit).
Een handige enkelzijdige paddockstand (single sided paddock stand).
Het originele onderhoudsboekje (service booklet).
Een geschikte OBD-lezer om de motor eventueel zelf uit te kunnen lezen.
De originele uitlaat (de huidige uitlaat is ook van Triumph, maar van carbon).

Reden van verkoop:
Ik wil zowel deze Daytona als mijn Yamaha FZ6 verkopen om samen te voegen voor één compleet andere motor voor langere reizen (zoals een Honda VFR 800).

For sale: a legendary 2006 Triumph Daytona 955i (the desirable 2nd generation). A raw, analog 3-cylinder superbike that sounds incredible, complete with those deeply satisfying exhaust pops and crackles on deceleration!
I bought this bike as a winter project and have spent the last few weeks mechanically sorting it from top to bottom. It is now fully roadworthy and reliable, with all the classic 955i failure points professionally addressed. It starts right up (on a cold start it searches for its idle for about 15-30 seconds, which is textbook for the SAGEM ECU, then settles beautifully) and rides great. It has barely covered any miles since the big service.

Technical Maintenance Completed:


Fluids: Fresh engine oil and a new oil filter.
Cooling System: Fully chemically flushed to clear out years of scale/crystals and refilled with fresh coolant. The fragile factory bleed screw has been professionally upgraded to a custom brass-brazed neck with a rubber O-ring seal.
Brakes: Rear caliper completely stripped and rebuilt with brand new pistons and Tourmax seals. Both front and rear brake circuits have been fully flushed, bled, and filled with fresh fluid out of a brand new bottle. The levers are firm and responsive.
Charging System: Already features the highly recommended MOSFET Regulator/Rectifier (RR) upgrade with heavy-duty 6mm² wiring directly to the battery. Charging circuit is perfectly stable, putting out a solid 14.0V at idle.
Drive & Chassis: Chain and sprockets are in good condition; the chain has been thoroughly cleaned and greased. The eccentric rear hub adjuster turns completely freely (no seizing). The rear suspension linkage moves smoothly with zero binding, and the front fork seals are in good, dry condition.

Cosmetics & Things to Note:
Mechanically it’s fully ready, but it does need some cosmetic love. The previous owner accidentally dropped another motorcycle against the left side of the fairing. It has been structurally repaired, but the left fairing panel still needs a proper respray. If you have the space and tools, this is an easy DIY winter project.
The tires have plenty of tread but are older date codes (DOT 2013/2014). The bike definitely needs new tires before serious or safe road use. If preferred, I can arrange to have new tires fitted for you locally before collection, but these additional costs will be entirely at the expense of the new owner.

What's Included in the Sale:


Currently installed straight handlebars (superbike kit) for a much more comfortable, upright riding position.
The original top clamp (top yoke) and stock clip-ons are fully available and included if you want to convert it back to stock (picking up the top yoke this Friday, so it will be ready).
Both the passenger rear seat and the original solo rear seat cowling are included.
The original Triumph onboard tool kit.
A single-sided paddock stand specifically for this swingarm layout.
The original service booklet.
An OBD code reader compatible with the bike.
Original exhaust (the current exhaust is also Triumph but carbon fiber).

Reason for Selling:
I'm freeing up space and selling both this Daytona and my Yamaha FZ6 to consolidate the funds into one totally different bike suited for longer two-up sport-touring trips (looking at a Honda VFR 800).
